Trying something out - I did the intial rough/layout art in Photoshop, then printed it out very light on to a piece of comic book board. Then I went over it with pens and markers and white gel pen, then scanned the board back into Photoshop. In Photoshop I overlaid some grunge and stone textures. A few extra steps but there's some nice analog noise action that gets added in. Lemme know what you all think...
I like this style, I'm not much of the traditional, comic-styled illustration fan so when something different like this comes along, i wish it was a graphic novel and i can go grab in a store,
Mixed Media Anyone?? I like it. I have always been a fan of the mix/using whatever you got or want and using few "rules" (damn rebels). It has a nice creepy fell to it, almost like you are being chased by..... flying jellyfish!
This really had me thinking it was pen and ink with watercolor or acrylic washes. Cool experiment. It's definitely a "Do it again, Daddy" sort of thing.
